The brief involved a complete interior transformation of the family room, dining room, kitchen, sitting room, formal dining and the entry hall to make it feel more contemporary, brighter as well as warm and inviting, and to create a consistent flow from the original part of the 1920’s Art Deco home to the more recent 8 year old extension and open plan living.
The existing style of the home was quite traditional with beautiful ornate period features like lead light windows, ceiling roses and picture rails. It had a more recent extension approx 8 years ago to accommodate their growing family and included the addition of the open plan kitchen and living areas as well as upstairs.
The transformation included new furniture for the living rooms and dining room, entry, master bedroom, new kitchen stools and pendant lights for the kitchen, entry, stairwell, front living room and bedroom. I also brought in artwork and accessories like cushions and throws as well as advising on plants, window furnishings, wall colour, fire place surrounds and colour palette.
